László SzekérSince receiving his Master of Architecture degree from the Technical University of Budapest in 1982, Mr. Szekér has gained widespread acclaim for his work in the development of sustainable office, residential and industrial buildings. One of Hungary’s most prominent architects, he is head of the work programme “Architecture for a Sustainable Future” for the International Union of Architects (UIA) in Central and Eastern Europe (region II). Mr. Szekér is one of the founders of the Hungary Green Building Council and also founding Vice President of the Hungarian Association of Passive House Builders (PAOSZ).

Kristen SimmonsKristen Simmons is an architect from Boston, Massachusetts, United States and is one the founders of Passive House New England. Since receiving her Master of Architecture from the University of Florida, Ms Simmons has focused on residential and institutional projects which include adaptive re-use, historic preservation, and sustainable design components. Ms Simmons is currently the principal of her own firm, Kristen Simmons Architects; selected projects include the Catbird House Deep Energy Retrofit (to be completed in 2012) and Trinity Church in the City of Boston Restoration and Renovation, while at Goody Clancy, (2002-2006). Ms Simmons is also a consultant with ICF, where she develops and manages the Massachusetts multifamily energy efficiency pilot program. Anders V. Sonnichsen

Anders V. SonnichsenAnders V. Sonnichsen is an architect and a passive house designer from Copenhagen, Denmark. He studied at Bartlett School of Built Environment in London, UK in 1997-98 and graduated as an architect in Denmark in 1999. His expertise includes passive house design, building safety, energy design, and 3D modelling. During his professional career he worked for Condes in London (UK), Kant arkitekter in Copenhagen (DK), Pouls Krebs arkitekt in Copenhagen (DK), and Bjerg Arkitektur.
Currently Anders V. Sonnichsen is an owner and principal at his architectural studio Lavenergiarkitekterne in Copenhagen, Denmark. His selected projects include Pavilion for the writer H.C. Andersens 200 years birthday in 2005 and design of the first CO2 neutral apartment block in Copenhagen (DK) in 2008. Since 2010 Anders has attended various competitions and has worked on economical calculations for passive house designs. He is also an accredited certified Passive House Trainer by the PassivHaus Institut in Darmstadt, Germany.
